"I think I'd have been the same, if it weren't for havin' someone to stay with," Carla Jean says, brow raising. Even now, all of this feels a bit beyond her, part of a life she was never meant to have. Then again, the same could be said for the fact that she's here at all, so she's trying not to make too much of that. She'll get used to it, or if nothing else, she'll learn how to deal with it. "I've never been anywhere like this before."
